As most of you know I have committed to run the 2015 Chicago Marathon with Team World Vision. I have committed to raise enough money to provide clean water for 26 people for one year. That’s one person for each full mile of the marathon. Your $50 donation provides that clean water for one person. $100 provides two people with water, hope and life. A special thank you to all who have donated so far.
This past week was rough as I battled a virus and post-viral bronchio symptoms. But today I ran for the first time in nearly a week. It felt good and I completed the interval set. My longest run in terms of time so far. I’m giving it my all for my sponsors and for the people who need clean water to survive. Let’s change the world by joining together with Team World Vision.
I needed a “nudge” from my wife to get it done today. Thankful I’m not alone on this journey. Thankful for your support as well. My Team World Vision donation page

Today was my longest run yet. I had a rough day yesterday and had to switch my rest day. Today I wasn’t quite 100% but headed out anyway. The first mile was my toughest yet. Finally I began to relax and settle in to a decent run/walk interval set. There is still such a long way to go, but I’m learning to overcome the “I don’t wanna’s”, while also listening to my body when I really need to listen. I’m so thankful that for me it’s not a matter of survival. Water is the stuff of life. World Vision brings decades of experience to delivering hope to suffering communities. I have partnered with them. If you partner with me, together we change the world. WATER. HOPE. LIFE.
Sometimes the reward is unexpected… Taking on a physical challenge for a higher purpose has many unexpected benefits. Thanks for all your support!
Today a few of us ran together on the longest run yet in our Team World Vision marathon training plan. We make a little more progress each time, which is a bonus. It was a beautiful day in the park. Longer days lay ahead, but today was nothing but fun… Thanks to all who have donated!
If you haven’t, please consider sponsoring my run. Donations of any amount are accepted by World Vision. $50 will provide clean water to one person for one year. http://tinyurl.com/timstidhamTWV
A nice evening run with my wife tonight! We covered a tiny bit more distance and felt better doing it so I guess that’s progress. But real progress will be eliminating the need for fresh water in our lifetimes. $50 will supply one person fresh water for one year. http://www.tinyurl.com/timstidhamTWV
What can I say? It’s so beautiful today! Such an incredibly small sacrifice so that others can have access to the source of life. I’m thankful today for God’s grace. Strength for life and hope for the future… Thank you to all who have sponsored me at:
